McClellanville Rental Homes Needed
April 26th, 2008 All Articles Daniel Bates
While its a great time to buy in McClellanville, there is still an overwhelming demand for McClellanville rentals (both long term and short term). McClellanville may not be the tourism capital of the world, but we get our fair share of traffic. I get daily calls from people wanting to come enjoy our natural amenities (great fishing, pristine creeks and beaches, historic homes and oak-lined streets) and relaxing rural setting. People love to use our quiet town as a place to unwind as well as a starting point for day trips to both Myrtle Beach and Charleston. There are currently no homes for lease on a long term basis and the two vacation rentals in McClellanville are both full for the summer and into the fall. One of those is on the market to be sold and could go at any minute. I am also managing another occasional rental, but it still does not meet the demand and I have to turn people away every day.
If you own a home in McClellanville that is vacant some of the time (or know of someone who does) and would like to discuss the possibilities of renting your home, I am happy to offer my services as a full service rental manager. Renting your home can seem like a scary thing and it isnt for everyone, but it is a great way to put some extra cash in your pocket for home repairs or to help you pay off your mortgage. Obviously rental rates vary greatly depending on size, condition, and location of your homes, but most homeowners can expect to meet their monthly mortgage payment by renting their home in todays market.

Daniel- I think people with homes don’t realize that a manager like you can help them by having their house rented for a greater percentage of the time than they can do themselves. When people look on the internet for rentals in the area, they are going to run across your site more often than not. That leads to rentals. The key to making money renting (or at least breaking even) is to keep that sucker rented as much as you want. It’s hard for a person with just one house to get the same volume of calls that a professional does. Keep it going…
We are about to launch into a market with many second homes. These folks tend to rent when they are not using. What I cannot understand is that so many people still have the time and money to buy second homes or rent second homes. I guess I am about to get a lesson in the market. I did notice none of the realtors in the area have even decent website. So much of the market shops online for second homes it does not make sense to not have a strong site. I hope to learn from yours, good job.
